Replay in Neon is an electronic music project, consisting of UK based musician Ash Green, who has been creating music since the mid-1980s. Starting out on an MSX computer and Casio VL-Tone keyboard, they initially produced disjointed tracks filled with unpleasant buzzes and blerps and noise recordings taken from short wave radio stations.
35 years on and Replay in Neon still retains the experimental feel in its newer evolving progressive instrumental tracks, that are at times ambient, disjointed, melodic and noisy, and reminiscent of Autechre, Plaid, IDM, and occasionally Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, and Vangelis.
Many of the tracks are created solely with the Caustic music app, in an attempt to avoid wasted hours twiddling synth knobs with nothing to show for it.
